Today we decided to take 5 of our placemat patterns, and show how they could look in fall colors. We really like the way they look, and hope this will give you some ideas for your autumn table!
This one is SNAZZY SQUARES QUILTED PLACEMAT PATTERN 590. The center blocks remind us of maple leaves. We mocked it up in a burgundy floral batik, a gold leaf patterned fabric, and an earthy brown woodsy print.
Here we have STAR FLOWER QUILTED PLACEMAT PATTERN 591, in a tan floral with green accents. We combined that with a rust colored twiggy print, and a cream floral center accent.
STRIPES AND ANGLES QUILTED PLACEMAT PATTERN 582 is a simple and fun pattern. There are so many ways to arrange the blocks on the left hand side, for a different look. Here, we chose a wine and orange floral print for the triangles, set off by pale orange and green leafy prints.
FOUR SQUARE MEALS QUILTED PLACEMAT PATTERN 579 has room for ALL the fall colors! Here, we started with a forest green fabric with dark reds and olives, for the center. Then we chose shades of greenish/olive/tan, along with reds and oranges. We combined solids with subtle prints, for a bit of interest without being too busy.
Here’s another with lots of squares, STACKED SQUARES AUTUMN QUILTED PLACEMAT PATTERN 568. Here we used all rougher fabrics, in brown, gold, wine, a rusty peach, and two shades of green. We think it would look great on a rustic table.
We hope you enjoyed our digital experiments, we had fun playing with colors and fabrics like this. Let us know which was your favorite!
Please note: The fabrics shown in this post are from our collection, and some may no longer be available. Many of them came from Connecting Threads. They have some lovely autumn fabrics! Check out all of their fall fabrics here.
